Rupert Murdoch Claims Egalitarian Australia has
left behind its 'stuffy elitism'
In his Lowy Lecture on 31 October at the Sydney Town Hall, Rupert Murdoch made much of the religion of the Prime Minister and his fellow religionists in his Cabinet. He claimed that this heralded the end of stuffy elitism and lauded our egalitarian nation. In one breath he said that we must educate our children In the next he advocated importing clever Asians. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-10-31/rupert-murdoch-delivers-lowy-lecture/5062410
Apart from the fact that Murdoch is an American, not an Australian citizen, one wonders what planet he thinks Australia is on?
DOGS WOULD LIKE TO ASK MR MURDOCH A FEW QUESTIONS: The end of stuffy elitism? Who does Murdoch as an old Geelong Grammar boy think he represents? And how elitist is our Roman Catholic ex DLP Prime Minister, the Old Boy from Riverview ?
In a country with a population that is 25% Catholic, over 40% of Abbott’s Cabinet ministers
are Catholics. And, in a country in which only 34% of kids are educated in the non-Government school sector, 82% of the Tory Cabinet attended private schools
DOGS also note that the sanctimonious Murdoch made no mention of the phone hacking scandal in the UK.
Australia has a mainstream Press that is dominated by one proprietor: It seems that Murdoch believes that the only legitimate view is his. Others have to think the way he does, and vote accordingly.
DOGS have news for Mr Mudoch. There is an alternative media and 3CR is part of it.
